FAQ

Technicalities.

What technology/materials do you use?

I utilize lead caming to support the glass, and zinc as a frame.

Do you have standard patterns to select from?

While I typically use the patterns and textures in your space to conjure a design, I also have concepts and older projects that clients may want recreated for them. While this can be easily achieved, I cannot promise exact colors as the glass I use is one-of-a-kind.

I work best when you send me your inspiration, and I can typically create a few designs and send them to you.

What colored glass do you offer?

Because the glass I use is one of a kind, antique glass, the colors are less bright and artificial. This also means that there are not select colors to choose from. I will need to source the glass based on the design and/or you may take a look at my current collection of antique glass.

What's the maximum size you can produce?

For pieces that cover entire windows and doors, I will need to rent studio space ($15 per hour) which will be included in the price.

Consultations & Process

Do you offer a free consultation?

Initial consultations are free and over the phone, and last up to 20 minutes. At the consultation, I will want to understand: your idea and budget.

What if we decide to move forward?

Typically, you can send me your inspiration or goals for the project. I will then create 2 to 3 designs for you to choose from, and then I begin creating your custom piece!

Can I see the design before it is created?

Renderings are included as a follow-up to the wholistic consultation. A total of three designs are created and rendered based on my assessment of the wholistic consultation. You will be sent a video where I explain the inspiration and thought process for each design. Once a design is finalized, a demo is rendered on top of a photo of your window to get a better idea of actual size (optional).

How many changes are included in your price?

Two changes are included before anything is created. Additional changes are $20.

Installation & Repairs

Do you do installation?

I will personally install your completed panel.

What happens if my glass panel is damaged, or glass is broken?

I do not handle repairs. Locate your local stained glass shop for repair work. If I am still in supply of the broken glass, I will mail the glass to the stained glass shop, free of charge.
